Which country is the best country to retire in?

Which country best to retire to--Thailand,Malaysia,Indonesi... or Singapore?

    I have lived in or traveled to all 4 countries and I can assure you that to meet all your requirements it has to be Singapore or Malaysia. If you are stinking rich go for Singapore, if not it has to be Malaysia. Malaysia does have some racial problems but you are unlikely to encounter them if you are a western expat and live in expat areas.

I would say either Thailand or Singapore

It depends on how much one has saved up for retirement. If one is better off without much concerns for money, Singapore is the best place with wonderful welfare systems and recreational programs for its senior citizens (yes, you should be a Singaporean to enjoy the best benefits for the retirees here). Otherwise, for low to middle income retirees, Malaysia, specifically Penang, Malacca, etc., is a really good place to settle down.
