How to prepare for a casting call?

The casting call notice probably gave you some information -- telling you how many songs and/or monologues to prepare and much time you'll have to deliver them, for example, and how many copies of your headshot and resume you should bring. (If they ask you to bring just one, it never hurts to have a few extras with you.) Dress in clean, neat, casual clothes, something in which you'll be able to move comfortably. (They might just listen to your prepared pieces, but they also might ask to see you doing dance steps or some other vigorous physical movement.) Notice how the other auditioners are dressed and use that knowledge for your next casting call.
