How do you know when there are tv auditions?

Does anybody know how i can find out about open auditions for movies and tv shows in the uk?

    Although there are some open auditions, you would be much better off getting involved in a theatre school (such as Sylvia Young - if under 16, and London based), or drama classes, or become a member of your local amateur theatre. It is not impossible to get into acting with no experience, but with a drama school training, you will also get contacts in the business and perhaps, if you are lucky, an agent. I have just googled 'open auditions' and at least one you mentioned was publicised on the BBC website, and Newsround. You may just have to keep you eyes peeled. Good Luck.

get "the stage" newspaper its basically a performing arts newspaper i love it! it tells you all about everything...you can get it from the "pineapple" shop (the dance 1 lol) or whsmiths :P check out the website www.thestage.com good luck x

Get an agent as they will be able to get you more than any you could get alone. Open calls are listed in the stage magazine.
