  Dear " Mrs. Cullen" Having been a top child star of the 30's I was lucky enough to always be under contract so didn't have to struggle too much for parts. Although I was Warner Bros first child star under long term contract nowadays so many people remeber me as BECKY in THE LITTLE PRINCESS starring my very good friend Shirley Temple. Seeing that you are 13 years old I assume you are still in school so I would suggest getting as much experience as you can in school plays and become interested in going to see plays and watch the actors very carefully. Also in a lot of towns, they have their own little theatres and you would be surprised at how many stars were discovered performing in their local little theatres. I would not attempt to answer audition calls in NY just yet because not only is the competition tough but most of the actresses have stage experience. Just be patient dear, and if you TRULY want a career in acting do it the correct way and get "on hand" experience before trying to go professionally. Some little actresses got their start in doing print work . ( That is modelling for magazine ads) but thats a rather roundabout way to your goal. I do wish you all the luck n the world in the pursuit of your dream but do take baby steps towards your ultimate goal. There is NOTHING better than experience.
