  I'm also thinking about going to NYFA but to the camp. Maybe you should start off with that to see how you like it? Go for one week. It's very very reasonable. It is $1,500 for a week camp. They also have weekend camps that you finish over the course of 12 weeks. They also have 3, 4, & 6 week camps. To start out with, I'd do the one week. I've heard it's amazing, which is why I want to try it out. My aunt went there and loved it. They also have one in LA that my cousin went to, she graduated and wants to be a director. She LOVED IT! Hope that helps! EDIT: BTW My cousin went to the school, not the camp.
