How do you convert MOLES to MOLECULES? and MOLES to ATOMS?

What is the formula to convert atoms to moles, and the formula to convert molecules to moles?

  • another problem i have asks to go FU to moles. What is FU? Is there a formula to go from FU to moles??

  • Answer:

a mole is 6.023x10²³ of anything, be it atoms, ions, molecules or formula units. An atom is the smallest particle of an element A molecule is 2 or more atoms held together by bonds An ion is one or more atoms with a charge A formula unit is the simplest ratio of ions in an ionic compound Na can represent an atom of sodium Cl2 can represent a molecule of 2 Cl atoms NaCl can represent one formula unit, consisting of one sodium cation balanced off by one chloride ion. All the above can also represent a mole of the respective materials.

The units of Avagadro's Number = any particle/mol let a = #atoms, A = avagadros and m = moles a = A x m in this case the units of a=atoms and A=atoms/mol just rearrange the equation from there... the equation is the same for molecules to moles and fu to moles
