What are some good acting tips and ideas?

Well, as a character you are always doing something. You are conscious of the place you left. You have feelings and thoughts about it. You are always conscious of the place you are. You are impelled to be here? You are repelled at the thought of being here? You are compelled to hesitate? (and indecision is active acting) You have an idea of where you are going (vs, where you want to go) I left a strip club. (boy was that fun) I am now in a dark alley, I am frightened. I want to get out of here. You gotta think about being your character in the moment. And that means being in the moment with another character. What is she thinking? Does she know? How far is she going to with this? Search her face for clues on how you should proceed. This is you, and that is her. Smell her, sense her, know something is on the line. Then you should go out with your co-actors-- if you play the part of friends, go mall hopping, even if you just met. Or something. Oh, and being an actor it would probably be best to not be prejudiced to what your character is all about. That gets in the way I would think.

Take some acting classes if you haven't already. This is really help you improve on your acting and also get you really comfortable with acting. =]
