    Make sure you get no scammers, in order to do that go to either: www.agentsassociation.com (USA) www.agents-uk.com (UK) to find a legit agent in your area or go to sag.org (USA) and go to the drop down menu that say select an option and choose agent information then choose get a sag frachised agent from the menu on the left. The first thing I have to stress is,"Never pay an agent,unless he/she is getting you work!That's what thier percentage is for!Having said that,look around your area for reputable agents.(they're out there)and meet with them.Audition like mad,be prepared as you can be and believe me,a good agent will find you.Again,that's thier job,not yours!TL
