The change of enthalpy of the reaction equals the difference of the activation energy of forward and reverse reaction: ΔHr = E₊ - E₋ Because the is no change in the number of moles, volume stays constant throughout reaction and change of enthalpy equals the change of energy. Hence: ΔHr = ΔEr = -216kJ/mol The activation energy of the revers reaction is: E₋ = E₊ - ΔHr = 125kJ/mol - (-216kJ/mol) = 341kJ/mol
