What is the diffrence between a semi-automatic marker and an electronic marker, in terms of paintball guns?

  • I have been paint-balling before and I liked it so I am now looking for my own gun. On all the sites visit they describe the paintball guns as either semi-automatic marker or ...show more

  • Answer:

Mechanical guns are semi auto and dont rely on batteries. However they only fire one shot at a time. All stock Tippmanns are mechanical (semi auto). Mechanical guns are also cheaper. Electronic markers are powered by batteries and can do ramping and full auto. the batteries will last about 20,000 shots. If I were you and I had a $100 budget i would get a used Tippmann 98 custom (mechanical). $150 budget and I would get a Spyder electra 09 (high quality electronic). If you have $300 budget save yourself some grief and get an ][nvert Mini. (cheapest high end electronic marker out there and in my opinion better then the $1000 dye markers) hope that helps
