Did you by chance mean http://www.makersquare.com?  I was actually in their 2nd cohort last fall. This is the review I wrote about MakerSquare. -------------------- I had joined the 2nd cohort at MakerSquare in fall of 2013. Prior to MakerSquare, I had tried learning Ruby and JS on my own, through countless books and online tutorials. Having completed a few guides, I realized that my ability to learn "how to code" was hindered simply by my style of learning. I love interactive q/a style learning, which is what led me to MakerSquare. Of the different programs out there, the one thing I would urge others to consider is that they place a heavy amount of weight onto prework completed (how much work you've done ahead of time) and community-fit. If you're a solo worker and not a fan of collaborative environments, you may want to consider other programs. Anyways, long story short, I would whole heartedly recommend this program. As classmates, I had former programmers, retail store workers, a professional photographer and even a former elementary teacher. Out of the program, each of the students were working as professional front-end engineers (junior developers) within weeks of graduating. So safe to say, MakerSquare has a great professional network, and they know how to teach code. The classroom environment (the location on Congress ave) was a bit cramped at times. But from what I've heard the class size is now capped at 18, vs. 30 or so when I went through. All the 'issues' I had (space constraints, less than ideal student:instructor ratio, and focus on advanced concepts (algorithms and data structures) has been completely addressed. According to the staff, Cohort 5 is operating on an almost night/day difference of curriculum than what I had. So not only do I give the program 5 stars, I would (and likely will) retake the course to take advantage of their newest curriculum. --------------- Since this question has been answered, some of the information about MakerSquare's program has changed. I can only talk from personal experience, but 7 months ago I was a history graduate, working in project management at a small charity, with no coding experience aside from  few half-completed CodeAcademy course. I graduated just before Christmas from Makers Academy (MA), worked for a few more months building up my skills, and am now an iOS Developer at a small start-up. I love my job, and more importantly love coding. MA gave me the technical knowledge, and more importantly the ability to learn new languages and skills. Also, more directly, the placements team set me up with some great interviews after the course include the role I'm at now - the fact that MA had that post-course support to find a job was part of the reason I chose them over other coding bootcamps. A few caveats: - the course is *hard*. If you prep well beforehand during the 4 (?) week pre-course, and are prepared to really work your socks off during the 12 weeks, then I think you'll be in a strong position to get a job as a Junior Software Developer afterwards (if that's what you want). - you need to enjoy coding. When you have to do something that can be mentally (and emotionally!) tough for 12 hours a day, you better enjoy it. If you haven't coded before, spend some time doing some of the online courses (like codeacademy). Be honest with yourself whether you are enjoying yourself! If you have any questions at all do feel free to tweet me @ynzc. All the best!

I've just graduated from Makers Academy on the December 2014 cohort. I went in with little coding experience, but now feel equipped to start a career as a Junior Developer in either Ruby or JavaScript (and feel confident to pick up any other language that anyone wants to throw at me - Python, C# etc). Whilst on the course I wrote a blog about my experiences http://initialdigital.com/

Have a look at my blog, written while a student at MA: http://detachedhead.wordpress.com Feel free to tweet at me with questions.
