  Many airsoft pistols, like my KJW M9A1 can be used with either Propane/Green Gas or C02, depending on which magazine you buy. I personally shoot Propane because it's much, much cheaper, but the gun would actually shoot a little harder with C02. So do a little research, and find a gun that shoots either C02 or propane/green gas, and then just show your mom that you're buying one that shoots C02. Sure, you'll have to spend more money buying those tiny, disposable, C02 cartridges, but at least you have a better chance at being allowed to purchase the gun. In the future, she may relax a little, and you can buy a magazine or two that shoot propane/green gas. Of course, shooting with propane is less dangerous than filling the lawn mower with gas, but I'll bet that doesn't stop her from making you mow the lawn (don't tell her that, it'll just make her mad and she'll probably be even less likely to let you buy a gun). The main thing is that when you talk to her about it, ask her if she would be OK with you buying a gun that shoots C02 instead of propane, since C02 isn't flamable. Make sure you use the words "instead of," and don't mention the fact that you could easily convert to propane by buying a $30 magazine (plus some 10w silicone oil and a magazine filling propane adapter).
