    I would tell you my doughball recipe but most people don't even take my advice on it. Just use corn like everybody says. Never caught a carp in my life on corn, but i have burned them up on doughball. Buccaneersfan#1, carp actually do bite when they're spawning, and bite well. I carp fish all year long. They bite the best during spawning times or late fall.

At this time of year they might be spawning and if they are spawning they wont bite. if they arent spawning then you can use simple baits like corn to chum out the fish then just tyes of bread to catch the fish.

use corn ( or other kinds of homemade baits). Carp will pretty much eat anything. Good Luck
