    I live in the piedmont of NC and love the inland fishing here. I fish a lot of farm ponds in the area and we hardly ever see any really bad weather. I think it would be better than living on the coast.

freshwater fishing is not that good in nc. i would move to the coast. the fishing on the coast is great. i would move to the nags head area or morehead city. if you move to nags head you can catch drum, bluefish, kingfish, stripers,flounder, spot, sea mullet, sharks, rays , and skates. in morehead city you can catch the same plus if you have a big boat you can catch bluefin tuna, yellowfin tuna, blackfin tuna, sailfish, marlin, hurricane and tropical storms happen in nc but they rarely cause damage. hope this helps good luck and good fishing
