In 3 weeks I plan to go ice fishing for splake and brown trout on a frozen lake in northern Minnesota. ?

It is 200 acres and max depth of 140 feet. Half the lake is pretty deep the other half is under 50 feet. How deep would you start looking for trout? I have sonar equipment.

Answer:
I agree with Fisher_king try various depths too with shiners.... we always had several tip-ups and then would jig with one pole until we found them.
