What is the best bait/lure for big bass?

For big bass, big baits. Get a big spinner bait with lots of blades if your searching for the next record largemouth. More blades, means the lure is imitating fleeing shad. Big bass go for big bunches of shad so, they will love those. Wanna use live bait, eh? Get a huge shad, hook it on a hook and fish the sucker. You may catch the record that way also. You could use huge 12 inch plastic worms. eh? They will work for big bass. At my local lake, a 5 lber is like christmas. It's very special and only comes once a year! Well, enough of that. Soft rubber craw fish work well in most waters.

for lakes it would DEFINITELY be topwater frogs! go to dickssportinggoods and get the most expensive frog they have. trust me, its definitely worth it!
