Do you like catching pickerel?

What are some really good baits for catching pickerel, what do you catch them on bait or lure, what kind?

    Their diet consists almost entirely of smaller fish. Therefore, baits that imitate minnows, or live minnows will work best. I've had great success on pickerel with rooster tail type spinners, and small spoons.

Alright well ive been catchin pickril for a while now snapper, and ive seen spinner baits work very well. cought 2 in about 10 minutes and almost another shortly after that. also, what works well is minnow,sunny, or whatever bait fish is in the pond or lake or whatever it is. you want to cut em up and put medium sized pieces of fish pieces on there so the hook CAN be seen but no too too much just enouph. don't laugh Bait is usually better I mean who wants to eat rubber or fiber glass.. I personally use Spam for top and bottom fishing and am pretty successful
