What age do we live in?

What age can a toddler sit through a live show (Sesame Street Live, Curious George Live, etc.)?

  • My daughter's 18 months and very busy. She doesn't watch tv yet, so I don't know about how long she could sit still or if it'd be different with a live show anyway. ...show more

  • Answer:

We went to see Play School Live (in Australia) last week and it was the same situation where my LO had read the books and knew the characters but hadn't watched it on TV. He's 15 months and he loved it! It was a little overwhelming, so many people, lots of bigger kids getting up and dancing, a big stage but he definitely had a good time and happily sat through it all and it went for around 45 mins. We went with 2 others that are a month or so younger than my LO and they also enjoyed it heaps. Definitely go for it! Have fun!

she'd prob enjoy it more when she's 2 or 3 but even now she will have fun and when she starts to lose interest it wont really matter because all the kids at those types of shows are young and will be all over the place as well. But as far as really recognizing what and who she is watching and being able to remember it, she'd prob have to be a little older to get that kind of enjoyment from it.
