How do I transfer all my e-mail info to another one if I were to create a new one?

  • My f*cking sister applied for these loans and used my e-mail now they blowing up my e-mail how can I transfer all my info from that account to a new one plus the yahoo answers? I ...show more

  • Answer:

There are three back-up patterns you can follow. Often the easiest way is to create categorical folders to put your files in – movies, pictures, documents, applications, and so on. Back on your new computer, you can easily put these wherever you want to have them. A duplicate copy requires even less effort, but you’ll be passing up on an excuse to (finally?) categorize your data. Just copy the folders your files are in – Desktop, My Documents, etc. – and you’ll be able to merge them with your new system’s counterparts. Ads by Google

If you open a brand new account name, you will lose all that is currently in your Answers account - it is tied to your whole account as well as your e-mail address. Just ignore all that spam - never ever open it at all, since that sends a signal to the spammers that the account is valid. They then sell the address to other spammers! Result? MORE spam. Spam mail is deleted every two weeks, so ignore the buildup - check once a week just in case valid mail arrived there by mistake, but be very careful ... spammers can fake addresses in the From area. Meanwhile ... change your password! You should never share an account or password with someone else (even if you are married to them!) Use a very strong password (letters, capitals, punctuation, symbols, numbers - the longer the better, at least 12 characters) Start with a sentence, and make many substitutions. Be sure the result is one you can remember! Also, select Secret Questions (and answers) that nobody could guess. (Yahoo even allows you to invent your own Secret Questions!) Set up an alternate e-mail address as well, just in case you forget your password. Yahoo usually suggests you have an alternate e-mail address that is NOT from Yahoo, just in case, for password and security reasons.
