Why is the new Yahoo format disorganized, with fewer information choices on the home page?

Yes, Yahoo did a grave disservice to many of us readers and users. We will never know who authorized it or what their real goals were. But I guess we in the public are stuck with this new "front page" or home page. You might go to Yahoo in other countries (see the flags), but who knows how long before Yahoo changes them too. And realize that big corporations simply do not respond to individual queries such as yours. Yes, the new homepage is is terribly disorganized. Its news stories are not arranged by category but are simply in some random order. It makes finding and reading news items more difficult. My gosh, who wants to scroll through a mishmash of unrelated stories to find ones which are related or should be in a certain category. It also makes getting to links more difficult. No longer can we readers find news items easily. But, hey, let's just all join in the madhouse of social media in which there is little, if any, in depth coverage, commentary, or analysis. We are in the age of change for the sake of change. Journalism and English writing classes are in sad decline and show us the way to a disorganized and unthoughtful future. Come on Yahoo, get back to basis! Quit trying to all things to all people. Also, why did Yahoo suddenly eliminate its public chat rooms in Messenger? They served us well, and now they are gone. How does that fit with Yahoo's alleged efforts to update its social media system? I suggest that it does not. So, why were they eliminated?

Because Yahoo never has cared what works or what we really think or like/want.

Because they "Improved" it! As usual, when they try to improve Yahoo, they totally screw it up!
