Is a BLACK LIGHT lightbulb in the middle of the room enough for black light posters on the walls?

As these are not very expensive to buy the best option would be to buy one and try it. They are available in a normal incandescent and a compact style lamp in various Wattages.

Probably not. For the power consumed, a black light doesn't put out much "light" at all. You may have to go with those "stupid" blacklight bars to make your posters show up.
