Why don't any Engineering College students from Tamil Nadu participate in the recent Students' hunger strike?

Most colleges that participate are arts colleges and law colleges: http://studentshungerstrike.blogspot.in/p/tamil-nadu-students-strike-locations.html; Whether the objective of the strike is reached is secondary. As a show of support and solidarity, the students could participate. Why don't they?

Life is more or less a mess for us already my friend. After more than an hour's travel to college, after more than 7 hours of coursework per day, after all these assignments and records and things that are completely useless for the exam, after semesters, re evaluations and reviews (re re evaluations), it's more or less a mad house already. If at all we take a day off to participate in social activities (read dharnas and hunger strikes), we'll get a warning that our internals would be null. And the immediate semester exam after the social event would be impossibly difficult. Aadu vandhu thaana biriyani aaguma? (will the goat ever come on its own to get eaten?). This is the reason why very few engineering colleges take part in such events.
