How should I get ready for a soccer tryout?

    Do the agility ladder.. Play pick up games with your friends.. Somethings in soccer you can't just do by playing alone.. You need to have good field vision.. Know whats going to happen next and where you should go.. Pass to open space.. Pass and move.. Pass and Move.. Maybe work on some give and goes (1-2 passes).. Do some exercises where you touch the top of the ball with your toes and do that as fast as you can..

Just control look up and pass. if you can do that really confidently you will look good on a soccer field, and if you can shoot great. watch a lot of soccer it makes your soccer brain and vision better making you a better player. also DONT do long runs (thats old school stuff that is proven not to be good) DO lots of shorter sprints and runs always at high tempo. long marathon type runs builds muscles for stamina that slow you down... in a soccer match you barely ever just jogging lightly either you stopped or moving at high tempo

Conditioning!! Stretch everyday before running, too. Gotta have endurance or they won't let you make the team. At this stage they are not asking you to be very skillful. But at least you have to be fit enough to be a soccer player. Time your 2 mile run. Keep it under 16 minutes.

hey im joel =] i currently play in mnt u-17 its usa's national soccer team for people 17 and under. really what you need to do is love the sport play with evrything u got. if you want to practice all those things go to youtube haha =D works well
