Has anyone experienced left lower back pain with pain sometimes radiating to left thigh? Pain is intermittent with it being sharpest while stretching and jogging. For normal activity like walking, climbing stairs, standing or sitting I feel negligible pain.

Answer:
I have not experienced it but have helped several patients. Pain radiating from back to thigh indicates that some fibers of sciatic nerve are being compressed. The compression may be becoming more OR the nerve fibers get stretched when you stretch and jog hence worsening of pain. Pl see your family physician or orthopedic doctor. Please do not neglect.
