What do they do at soccer tryouts?

Does anybody have some tips on what i need to work on for soccer tryouts?

    Make sure you do some research on the position you want to try out for. I tried out for a few travel teams last year and I usually got put in defense (my preferred position) but one team put me in Defense, Midfield, and forward just to see whether I could play every position because good players can. I didn't know how to play forward and made myself look stupid. I didn't make that team but made the one I wanted as a backup to a premier division team that my friend made and I didn't. So yeah know your position, don't worry too much about being fancy people and coaches find that as show offs but some coaches like it. I don't use shin guards at practice or tryouts unless the coach tells me too but I think you should. Good Luck and since you're a sophomore you will probably be on JV depending on how good the kids in your school are. Most varsity players are Juniors and Seniors. Good Luck and don't worry too much and just play your game.

you need all those things for tryouts. If the coaches see you not prepared, it isn't a good impression.You need to have good ball control and be very active, don't do too much walking if you are scrimmaging. They want someone who thinks wisely when playing soccer. When passing the ball in a soccer game always move after passing, maybe to get open for a pass( this is a very impressive act and it is very attractive to the soccer coaches).

please get yourself cleats, shin guards, and socks. you'll need them for tryouts, no doubt. you should also watch a lot of soccer games to improve your game. hope you make the team.
