Answer:
According to the BMI calculator http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/?htf=5&hti=1&wt=119&bmi= you are not overweight at all. Don't be so self concious. You don't have to look like a model. Models don't even look the way people think they do. Their pictures are heavily manipulated to make them look better than they actually do.

If you want to lose weight, you need to two things: eat less and exercise more. Weight gain happens when you create a calorie surplus (eat more than you burn). Your body takes the excess calories and converts them to fat which get stored around your stomach, arms and thighs. The longer you remain in a calorie surplus, the more weight you'll gain. To lose that weight, you need to do the opposite. You need to create a calorie deficit (start eating less than you burn). Your first step is to figure out how many calories you burn on a daily basis. Use a calorie calculator - http://calorieneedscalculator.com The number you get from this tool is what your body burns on a daily basis. To lose weight, simply eat less. It sounds a lot easier than it is but making small changes helps you adjust to a new lifestyle. Don't think of this as a diet, think of it as a new life. Instead of eating foods high in sugars, white flour and saturated fat, go with fruits, vegetables, whole wheats, fish, lean meats, nuts and beans. In addition to eating less, you also need to exercise more. Start off at 1-2 times per week and work your way up to 3-5 times per week. Don't make all of these changes at once or you won't be able to properly adjust to them. Generally, eating healthier foods will decrease your calorie intake. Compare a doughnut to an apple and you'll see that healthy foods are lower in calories. You can find some more information at the Straight Health Forums - http://forums.straighthealth.com
1 Dietary Balance and reading labels: watch what you eat, and expend more energy than you consume. It’s really that simple. This involves some calculation. Eat less and eat at least five meals a day. Your actual caloric requirement can differ depending on your height, weight, activity level and your body's metabolic rate. 2 Identify your exercise. No exercise was created equal. You might like running, so run. You might like jogging, so jog. You might like stationary bikes, so bike stationary. Find the one that works best for you. Don’t pick a routine that you don’t like and won’t stick with it for long. 3 Try yoga. Yoga is one of the best ways of losing weight. Of course I can’t go into a full lecture about yoga over here but I can tell you that I have never seen people with better-toned bodies than those who practice yoga. One of the benefits of yoga is that you learn to control virtually every muscle and joint of your body so that the issue of weight gain will cease to exist. 4 Photos and Joining online support group : Take before and after photos. There’s no easier way to illustrate your progress. It’s essential that you not feel alone, and reaching out to friends helps as they know things that you couldn’t possibly know, and they’ve probably been “in your shoes” at some point in the past (or present). Share stories, laughter, tears, successes, and failures. There are thousands of communities out there, so keep looking until you find one that fits you. 5 Water you waiting for If you’re not drinking enough water, your body will let you know. Thirst is an amazing sensation – quench it. If you’re not hydrated, your body won’t be working at peak levels. If you’re worried about “water weight,” remember that you’re likely to retain more water when you’re not giving your body enough of it in the first place. I’m not going to dictate how many glasses you should drink, though – as that’s going to vary from person to person. 6 Zone out. There’s a reason why people exercise to their favorite music – listening to external stimulus takes your mind off of the physical activity making “exercise time” fly or situate yourself in front of TV or video games involving exercises. 7 Dance Out Do Salsa, tango, swing ,hip-hop dancing etc. Anyone can do it,keep in mind you are dancing to increase your physical activity, so there is no pressure on how well you perform dance. Who knows you might even learn a cool dance move or two 8 Sleep it off. To be an efficient fat-burning machine, If you think that you’re doing yourself a favor by sleeping less, you’re mistaken. Give your body time to rest itself, both mentally and physically. Sleep is very, very important. 9 Keep a food diary. All you have to do is jot down what, when, and how much you eat in a notebook, or you can do it online at a Web site . A food diary gives a clear picture of your current eating habits so you can identify the changes you need to make to lose weight. 10 Be motivated. You need to believe in yourself!. Learn to evaluate your efforts fairly and objectively. When you have thought of giving up, visualize how good you will look when you manage to slim down successfully.
Sure, but don't try to loose too much weight in a short amount of time. It's unhealthy and does not work over the long term. * Cut out all soft drinks and other fructose corn syrup drinks....drink water, you'll get used to it and prefer it. * Don't starve yourself.....eat 3 to 5 small meals a day to stay healthy and keep your metabolism high. Skipping meals will cause your body to store fat more. * Make sure each meal has carbohydrates, protein, and (good) fat. Good fat comes from sources like nuts, fish, and olives. (mono-saturated). * Stay away from heavily processed foods with a lot of salt and fix yourself meals with steamed vegetables, fresh fruit, and lean cuts of meat like turkey, chicken, and sirloin cuts of beef. * As for exercise, one of the most effective exercises for dropping pounds in simply walking it off. Grab your MP3 player and go for a 1 hour walk per day. And when you feel up to it, find some stairs to climb, preferable outdoors in the fresh air like at a stadium. Loose your weight slowly, changing your dietary habits and lifestyle as you go for changes that will be effective and permanent. Good luck.

You could join a gym, or just walk around your neighborhood. Eat enough fruits and vegetables, as they are naturally low in calories.

There's this diet called the Banana Morning Diet. It's very simple, really. You eat as much bananas as you want for breakfast, accompanied by luke warm water (which will help you digest the bananas). Bananas are high in protein and it's a fiber. It's very healthy for you. For lunch you can eat anything. I recommend something high in calories much low in fat; such as a salad w/ dressing. For dinner, i recommend fish or poultry (chicken). NO RED MEAT. Red meat is high in fat and too much of it can lead to heart disease and other dire conditions. Snacks are not really great, but it's okay to eat a handful of nuts or fruit before lunch. Jogging, running, jump roping and even walking for 30 minutes can have a great toll on your weight loss. I prefer running and jump roping. They help strengthen my heart, stamina and endurance. After I run, i feel rejuvenated and happy. It's great for your self esteem and mood. You wil become happier after each lap. If you choose to run, walk, jog, then i recommend 1 mile at least. If you choose to jump rope, then atleast 15 minutes. (you may increase your time). You may do all 4 if you desire. However, only one a day. Too much work out can harm your body. *make sure you intake atleast 1000 calories. *sleeping before midnight is highly recommended. Your body burns 100+ calories when you sleep. So more you sleep the more calories burned.
