What French cities do you recommend to visit?

Which two cities in Italy would you recommend I visit?

  • I might be going to Italy at the end of May for a holiday with my family (I'm a teenage girl). Not sure how many days I'll be going, but I assume it's probably about five ...show more

  • Answer:

Florence is the MUST !!! then as second , depending on your choice, Rome or Venice... I sugges you ROME but may be you like more Venice... Whatever It depends also on haw many day you have because for cities like Florence or Rome you can need 2 months for to see (almost) everything.. but if you go 1 or 2 days for each city I give you some other suggestion ... (but you can have thousands of other suggestion , no problem in Italy , every city is "amazing") Any other city or town you'll choice in Italy is something special and I give you some suggestion: (check pics on Internet about the following cities) Ferrara Torino Ravenna Siena (and various zone around it.. not far from Florence and you have very in between of this 2 cities places like ... San Giminiano (the manatthan of the Medio Evo) Or places like San Galgano with its very special church and with THE ONE AND LONLY ORIGINAL and real SWORD IN THE ROCK that inspired the famous legend of excalibur... for example.. or PISA (Pisa Siena and Florence are very close and with alot of nices places between them .. Tuscany and chianti etc etc etc) You could make a tour starting from PISA (there is the airport) one day stay in PISA (the tower etc) then going to SIENA having a stop in VOLTERRA (and Larderello) then San Galgano (Sword in the rock) and go to SIENA, One day in Siena , then going to Florence one stop in San Giminiano and the Florence for the remaining days.. (You'll pass also trough the famous toscany country where alot of famous people (and rich people) from all over the world come for the "Gorgeos place " and the delicious food and wines.... If you'd like to have more explanation contact me on my profile and I'll be happy to give you more suggestion or some help Ciao Have fun !!! :) Pippo

I've been to several places in Italy and yes a lot of people are saying Florence (Firenze) etc.. but why don't you just go to Youtube and check out some people's travel videos to Italy and decide for yourself what you feel like doing. I wouldn't suggest trying to do too much though in 5 days. Sometimes too much is like not enough.

With only 5 days for the visit I would recommend Venice and Verona. Buy the clothes in Verona. Venice is one of the most expensive cities in Italy. Otherwise you could go to Florence and Siena or to Milan and Como Lake.

Don't miss Rome, if you had never been here. Its really fantastic with old historical buildings and so on. You can either choose Florence or Venice. But depends on your taste. Florence is again a historical city. In Venice, though it is historical, the main attraction is the sea and Gondola rides.
