What are other career options available for an IPS officer who wants to resign from the service due to personal reasons?

Since you are resigning from your job there must be pretty strong reasons for doing so. Whatever you chose to do next will therefore have to suit your personality...but i guess that has already been figured out..My opinions doesnt differ much from other writers therefore- 1.Teaching There is nothing more satisfying than teaching a group of students. Specially the underpriviledged ones. There is a lack of good teachers in our country and given your intellect they will be highly benefitted to have a guide like you! Whether you take up coaching or choose otherwise entirely depends on you. 2. Community Service. There are several NGOs with whom you can together contribute to help the needy and work for a cause. 3.Politics It's time we rest the reins of our country in the hands of someone who is worthy of it than let it be run by someone who wants to run it for their own agenda.But i guess this option is the least on your mind :)

It all depends on the reason you are leaving your job. I am writing in my preference of choices. 1. IAS coaching (if you good at it) 2. Join Some B-School as a faculty 3. Join Media or Politics. 4. Join Private companies in the field of your interest. 5. Join MBA (get your college days back) 6. Open a fitness center (Assuming you minted some capital during your days :D) 7. Must be having contacts, become Contractor.

Open a Dhaba, coaching class or consultancy convert your all Black money into white. Join some daily crap news show, express your opinion on every damn thing. Keep lecturing student how you passed your UPSC exam many years ago (even recite your UPSC interview questions, i dont know how people do that in every lecture), keep lecturing people about honesty. By the time you will become half politician, now join some political party as spokeperson and finally contest election. here also you will be able to gather some votes on your exam success because this is India and here some things have huge brand value "collector" is one of them !!!
