there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely show you great hotels at the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.

yes :) you should really check out roscioli hotels in Rome. its just about 10 mins walk to the central station, which you can take a train to other places. plus, when you walk out of the hotel, there's a very famous pizzeria called EST EST EST right opposite of the hotel. the hotel is a modern one... if you prefer something with more wood and stuff, you should try star hotel which is right next to it. the hotels are both close to the Coloseum. umm.... if you like chinese food, i suggest you to go to WONG HO.... which is like 15 mins away from it :) they have like the best chinese food there ! for venice, im not sure what the hotel is called again.... but its really convenient cos when you walk out of it, there are many many shops with great deals. like Murano and stuff. haha i hope this helps! but i'll get back to you when i recall the name of the hotel in italy! p/s the hotels i recommended, dont worry, they dont have crazy prices.... i live in malaysia... so i wouldn't have chosen a five star. haha, they are both four stars. Roscioli hotel has better breakfast as in more bread. star hotel has more drinks. but they're both as excellent for a 4 star. for other places you going, you can check out the same name too as they come from big companies. milan, venice, florence and stuff! really good service! myabe you could check the website by checking on google! oh and, if you are a brand conscious person, the hotels i recommened to you to stay in rome are the best. you should go to Via Condotti, which is close to the spanish steps. you can walk there, but its a little far. but it doesn't matter cos you will be seeing lots of historical things as you will the passing the coloseum! and once you're at the coloseum, you go straight all the way. and there you are, via condotti. with gucci, bvlgari, hermes and stuff. :D good luck! or maybe you need more info, email me!
