  • im 16 years old, live in Scotland and still at school. im planning on going to italy for the summer holidays to work. do i need a work permit or something like that?

  • Answer:

Ehi...I'm italian, from Rome. Just a question. You're 16, you're a stranger and you don't even speak italian...How many possibilities do you have? You have to face the truth...I have some friends (18-19 years old) who are looking for a job for almost one year...In Italy there's no work! What would you like to do? Just..Just have a nice holiday with your family.

NO travel insurance. just show the european card (E111) and if you have an european passport you are OK for work

t

You are going to need an E111 and Travel insurance. Plus as a legal minor some form of confirmation that your family have temporary guardianship might be an advantage.

NIGEL

No. You are a citizen of the EU. You might need National Insurance details, though.
