I am flying into Rome in about a week, then we are renting a car and driving down to the Amalfi coast. If you are uncomfortable driving in Italy i recommend taking a car service. Most hotels can help you with that. Try to plan ahead of time.

Buses and trains are all very well, when you have some idea what you are doing. On a first visit, speaking no Italian, and trying to figure such things out .----your better bet is getting as close as possible by train...........then just taking a cab from there for door to door service. Once checked in.......THEN you can explore with trains and buses......NOT while lugging all your suitcases around.

1. Exit train 2. Go to nearest Taxi cab station 3. Find the first or primo taxi that is waiting for new customer(s) 4. Tell the driver you want to get to this hotel. 5. Enter the taxi 6. Once at the hotel pay the driver and enjoy your vacation.
