I think this trip would be too tiring, as in these cities there is too much to visit and enjoy ;) I suggest you to spend 2 days in Venice, 3 days in Florence (but without Pisa...it is not so worth to visit and Florence is too beautiful to be lived for only 2 days!) and at least 4 or 5 days in Rome...you cannot stay in the "Caput Mundi" only a few days :) If you have a spare day, i really suggest Rome!! It is probably the most amazing city in the world, you have to enjoy it well and to taste the Roman way of life!

Please excuse some of the ruder people here........but the regulars here see these sorts of questions often........and those that have done what you propose, know what the outcomes will be. Trying to squeeze in all the treasures of Italy, in a week, is a bit ridiculous...........but, if you insist on doing it.....then your plan is about right....... Rome deserves all the time you can give it........You'll probably want to spend 2 days in Venice......seeing Florence AND Pisa in only one day.......well, again, sure you can do that, if photo ops OUTSIDE the major momuments is your only goal.....but even that is pretty hurried for one day. With the extra day.....either spend a whole day in Florence and a whole day in Pisa...... or give Rome the extra day. There is no shortage of things to see in Rome. If you wish to climb the Tower in Pisa, you will need advance tickets........they sell out for the whole summer very early.......so , book, like NOW if you still can. Be *sure* to ask about the Vatican DOME tour, once you take the Sistine Chapel tour. Do NOT exit into St. Peter's .......BEFORE you see the SEPERATE entrance for the Dome tour. They will not let you back in, if you miss it. Definitely the ONE thing you *MUST* do........don't miss the chance to stand atop the Vatican Dome. Well worth it.

If you only have a short time, that could work. Rather to spend more time in Venice or Florence depends on your specific interests. You won't be able to see everything in any of the three spots, but you can get a decent overview. One day in Florence isn't much time for all the things available there. If you want to see the Uffizi or Accademia, it's a good idea to make reservations for a specific day and time; the lines to get in can be very long. Pisa is an easy trip from Florence on the train. The travel time is 49 min to 2 hr 22 min depending on the specific train. Most of the options take around 1 hr 15 min. If you had a whole day, you could visit both Pisa and Lucca before heading back to Florence.

Fabio was a bit rude but, sorry, he is totally right. We're not talking about some attractions in an amusement parks, but about big, important and complex cities, all very interesting from many points of view. Moreover, they are not close one to another. So, you'll come to spend the most of your travel unpacking and packing cases, checking in and out in hotels, going to and from stations and getting bored in trains. Read a good guidebook (what would be the first thing to do before planning a travel), then decide which city you prefer and spend one week there. One city, but well.
