Which foreign language is difficult to learn and speak?

How can I learn to speak but not write a foreign language?

• I have the desire to learn Spanish and/or Arabic. I took Spanish in high-school up to the Spanish 2 level. I've noticed that when taking a foreign language class it usually involves grammar and writing as well as speaking. I don't really care if I can write correctly in another language; I'd rather spend time learning practical applications and speech. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a class, preferably online, that teaches how to speak a foreign language but does not require writing. Also, it would be nice if it is a credited class that hopefully I could transfer to the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee.

They sound absolutely perfect for what you want to do - they're audio courses and they move along pretty quickly so you will get something out of it early on. They don't tediously start with things like "Good Morning" and "Monday, Tuesday" blah blah blah - they dive right in to the useful verbs like "I can..." and "I speak..." - which like lego blocks takes you straight to "I can speak..." The course discourages writing because as you say - speaking is vastly more important and writing can come later. I'd highly recommend trying them out (the first five lessons are all free anyway so worth a go) Or if you want a challenge, you can learn another language through the medium of Spanish through those courses. Unless that will make your brain melt of course!
