What is chinese in Malay?

What was the most confusing way a Chinese or Indian people spoke Malay language to you?

    generally i understand the malay they speak to me. but this is my own blunder: when i was a very little girl, i was asking my mom to buy sweets for me and she was really busy that day, so she gave me 10cents and told me to go shop buy them by myself. (parents sent their kids to shop without any fear those days). i was really very young at that time, so i didnt know how to ask. my mom taught me to ask the malay man for 'gula-gula'. all the way from my house to the shop i was uttering 'gula-gula gula-gula' so that i wont forget the word. but somehow by the time i reached the shop, it turned to 'gala-gala'. i asked the man for gala-gala, and he gave me a confused look and said 'tak de gala-gala la!' i came back empty-handed and my mom laughed. then she went to the shop and bought some gula-gula for me.

Most of new genaration of Malaysian are good in Bahasa now. May be some are from Tamil and Chinese school who couldn't understand the meaning of Malay words or they do the direct translation from their language. Itu perkara kecil sajalah Sapein as long as u get what u order is good enough. Hantam sajalah Ha ha ha

One of my Chinese classmates told me that 'air kepala' is sedap. I was freaked out to hear him say that before I realized that he actually meant 'air kelapa'.
