Thake the DHL receipt you got. Theres a number of the package. You can check the status of the package in the INTERNET. There you will see where the package currently is. But as others wrote here it may take a few days until the package arrives. I ship stuff once a month to the USA. If it is not sent by airmail it takes up to 3 weeks. But not longer.

If it is regular mail, it can even take up to 6 or seven weeks - so no reason to worry yet.

I would start inquiring at DHL. It is possible that it was shipped to a wrong address. Surface Mail (or "regular" mail via Ship) used to be available at USPS and took 4-6 weeks but was cheaper than Airmail. USPS does not ship "surface" anymore and I am surprised that DHL still does. The package should not take more than 10 days - unless your friend packed something that U.S. customs did not like. In that case, you could get the package (if you get it) much later with a note that its contents were reviewed. It is usually easy to track DHL shipments if your friend kept the receipt and you might be able to do it online.

Normally takes 7-10 business days, but this is so long now. I hope you have tracking number than you can contact the DHL.
