Your cellphone will be perfectly fit for Europe, and you should in any way take your SIM (subscriber identity module) with you to Germany, as you can insert it here into any cellphone you buy without a contract by a phone company. Pay attention, if you buy a high-priced cellphone at home, you may be obliged to declare it at customs and pay some 19% German value added tax plus import fee plus a fine if you don't declare it. You can always bring your own cellphone, that's no problem, and a second one, but customs get really angry if you bring three or more.
