Goin to Europe for the 1st time.Need some Info about cell phone connection (read below)...?

I'm not sure what cell phone system is used in India, so chances are the cell phone from India won't work in Europe. When you get a cell phone in Germany, you could use it in Italy (and vice versa) but it would be really expensive (something like ten times as expensive as normally) You can get a cell phone with a prepaid card for not too much money (it would be a simple phone though). You charge it up with how much money you need and then talk If you go to Italy with a phone you got in Germany, you should be able to get an Italian prepaid card to use in your phone. That will most likely give you a different phone number. You can try taking your Indian phone, it's worth a try I suppose. When you come to Germany, you can go to a cell phone store and ask them about pre paid cards. These will be the most cost efficient (unless you want to talk very much). You should watch out since people in cell phone stores like to sell you a contract that you really don't need instead of the cheap version...
