Is the brute force 650 a good atv?

How do you reset the belt warning light on a Kawasaki 650 Brute force ATV?

  • Answer:

Make sure the battery is charged and connected. Coming out of the belt cover (right side of engine) is the wire for the belt light switch. Follow it up and disconnect it. In that area are 2 other connectors (a gray & a black). Disconnect them. Plug the gray into the black and the black into the gray. Turn on the key. I forget the exact procedure after that - Either turn on the key for 5 seconds and then turn it off. OR turn on the key, wait for the belt light to start flashing, stop flashing, turn on, or turn off. Then turn off the key and connect all the wires back together properly.
