Photoshop, by masking in the layer. What you would do is import the image over the original, create a mask on the galaxy layer, fill the mask with black and then paint it back in with a white brush.

photoshop its not hard to use but it takes time to learn everything around a year or so at least

The retouching you are calling "editing" does use some kind of special program ... a photo program with a layers tool Using the photo program, you create a mask where you want the star-field and then super impose your stock stars over the image file/mask composite. Your skill using the photo program will have most of the effect of how good the results look

That one works (: & i wish i could help, but I'm not sure about that one. It's most likely layered with photoshop, which is tricky to use.
