What exactly is negative campaign advertising?

When using Facebook advertising with a campaign goal of conversions, what would be a good budget for a month long campaign?

  This depends significantly on a few factors: How big of a conversion is it? Is it signing up for DirectTV for a year, including paying with your cc, or is it submitting your zip code for a survey? How good is your creative, messaging and landing page? How much have you optimized your conversion flow? How awesome is your value prop? Is it an incentivized deal? What kind of audience are you targeting and how well are you testing different audiences? Are you targeting a huge group of people or hyper focused? Is it a very desirable group or a niche audience? Sorry there's no easy answer here. Many large firms will throw 5-10k at a deal just to test if it can work. There's no average rate across the board (nor would one be terribly helpful) but if you are testing and optimizing and you can't make money in the first 5-10k you have a recipe that isn't working.
