Reasons on why graffiti is bad?

  • I'm doing a graffiti debate on "graffiti is art" and my team is against but i need some reasons on why graffiti is bad. please give me some reasons.

    It's only bad when it is done on public or private property, when it is done legally, or on paper, it's a type of art form. - It's a waste of tax-payers money, because the people who get paid to clean it are paid out of the taxes which everyone has to pay. -it looks ugly as hell out on the street, and really lowers the impression you get of a place if you see it covered in graffiti -it can be related to gang activity, and seeing that in your town/city is never a good thing

Graffiti has been around since man discovered how to paint or draw.You could even say the the early cave drawings and paintings were graffiti. But today with the aerosol spray paints that are being used they are destroying our clean air.The paintings you see in some big cities that are done beautifully are usually done by brush and the artist gets paid to do it.The average graffiti artist just makes a mess out of building when they spray paint random junk.that makes no sense.

It is destruction of private property. How would you like someone to paint over your house or business. If you can paint get a canvas or paper and do your thing. Just because you think you work is art doesn't give you the right to use what is not yours.
