I have a talent for art (illustrating). How can I make money at it?

    If you are good at "rendering life-like forms" you could look into medical illustration. Lots of doctors need drawings, also product illustration for prototypes and patents. If you mean that you want to sell your ideas and your style of drawing then make a portfolio and find a small art gallery to start.

If you check out the online colleges for illustrators, graphic art, etc., they can give you some great websites where you can post your art and critique other artist's work. There was one that I think is called www.deviantart.com. If that one doesn't work for you, try the art institute online college. They will answer your questions and give you free information. You don't have to sign up for classes (but they'll be hoping that you do).

When you find out. I'd really like to know. Gave up my art, for the most part, although I'm good. Had to choose unskilled labor over "starving artist".
