Where in the south of France is nice to go on holiday?

South of France is normally considered to be Med coast and the Atlantic Coast near Spain. The French med coast is about 650km long - so lots of choice ? Poitou-Charentes is somewhere in the midlands ! The Atlantic coast and the Languedoc Med coast are quieter and cheaper than Provence / Cote d'Azur. Languedoc also has many more cheap flight connections than Cote d'Azur and the Biarritz areas. Why not research Marseillan Plage, as a starter ? Peter

At the moment it is about 35°c here. If you are looking to be more towards the coast, I really suggest Saint-Georges-De-Didonne(only 2hours from Poitiers), it is about 10mins from the centre of Royan. It is lovely, beaches are clean, weather is hot, shops along the seaside, delicious restaurants, great nightlife, spas, casinos, sport activities... You should look for Antibes between Cannes and Nice for nightlife and beaches. For the landscape take a look between Cassis and Saint-Tropez. This year it's not difficult to find a hotel whithout booking it.
