How much money should I take for a long weekend in Paris?

I don't think I can tell you exactly how much you have to carry. But let me give you some hints. 1) Not easy to use public transportation unless you speak French. But have heard that it's very cheap comparing with taxis. A taxi would charge approximately EUR 3 per km & mot of the taxi drivers speak English 2) Food would cost min. 15-20 EUR per meal. There can be cheaper options from 10-12 EUR. But not safe. 3) Budget hotels would cost about 70 EUR per room per night if you go for 2* standard. Ibis chain has clean small properties everywhere. (Room only) 4) If you are planning to visit other cities, cheapest option will be Eurolines coaches. They connect most of the other European cities with Paris & the ticket would cost 20-70 EUR depending on the distance. 5) Entrance fee for most of the sights including Louvre Museum & the Seine River cruise range from 10-15 EUR. Some places can be expensive i.e. Disneyland & Versailles palace. Hope this will help you figure out a budget.

A long weekend is not enough to explore Paris... It's usually took me more than an hour to sit at the café opposite Notre Dame de Paris along left bank of river seine in quai de la tournelle to enjoy its beauty with une tasse de café au lait on every late morning of sundays....
