  Hi, You may have some rains in March, but weather is not too cold (around10-13°C). It's one of the less crowded season, that is nice ! Museum lines should not be too long. Hotels are less expensive and you'll find easily a room. Unless you're a big fan of museum, museum pass are not very interesting. About metro card, they are really worthwhile. Even if you walk a lot in Paris, sightseeings can be pretty far, and metro card is really cheapper than single tickets. Moreover, metro card works also for buses. You can buy one in all Metro stations.
