What are the "Posh" areas in Paris?

What are the best areas to stay in paris? And maybe with a budget?

    Hi. My husband and I went to Paris and stayed in the Paris Hilton at the Arc. Way too expensive for what you get. We try to rent an apartment wherever we go, and seen that they had the Adagio apartments for rent around the same area in Paris. It is a lot cheaper and they usually come with a kitchen, W/D and nice living arrangements. There are a lot of little supermarkets around the area to buy food and other items. Eating out is very expensive there. I would try searching for vacation apartments and see what is available. The one we stayed at in London was half the price of a hotel and way more comfortable.

Definitely at the Chatelet, because then you are within a few minutes walking from the Louvre, the cathedral, the Seine, and right at the most important crossroads of all the subway lines.

I am one of those people that love Montmartre. Rue des Martyrs, Rue Le Pic, Place du Tertre and of course the Sacre Coeur give the palce a great vibe. There are loads of restaurants and bars and shops to explore. The Montmartre museum is well worth a visit. There are good transport links to the other areas of Paris,. You can get good hotel deals through booking.com or similar web sites. We like the Fromentain and Celte La Fayette when you can get a good deal. DO check the location on the map, we found a hotel that was "next to the Bateau Lavoir" on the slopes of Montmartre, but "next to" turned out to be 5 miles away!!!! Have fun.
