  i dont mean to sound patronizing but France is pretty much like anywhere else, people wear all sorts of different things and do their make up in all sorts of different ways, i live in a rural area and people are not particularly fashion conscious, they are, however, more likely to buy something that is very good quality that will last a long time, and possibly not go out of fashion. The north and south of france are also quite different, the light and weather in the south makes lighter pastels much more acceptable, not to say that in the north they just wear dark colours, we need something to bringten up our gloomy weather sometimes.
