How do I get sound when using a HDMI cable from laptop to tv?

Okay, I've hooked up my HDMI cable from my laptop to my TV to watch Netflix and other streamed movies. I get picture but I don't get any sound. Why? How is this done the right ...show more

right click the speaker icon by the clock, click playback devices, digital is from the hdmi, right click and set it as default.
