If the surround system is a kind of all in one DVD player, then it's the DVD player doing all the audio processing, so all you really need to do is connect a HDMI, Component, or composite cable to the TV to get the video. The DVD will do the rest. If you simply want to connect your Xbox's audio to the TV, either connect a HDMI, Optical or Red and White RCA cables the TVs inputs. But you won't get real surround from your TV, only sound bars trying to replicate it at best.
