Connect Bluray player to surround sound system?

I have an LG BD250 bluray. I have a Sony DAV S-400. If I take line out from Bluray into Sony and select that input, will the 5.1 signal pass through, be decoded and work as if playing ...show more

Yes, it will work. Connecting the optical audio out of the blu ray disc player and connecting it to the Sony Home theater in a box. Make sure you also connect the HDMI cable from the blu ray disc player to the tv. You could also connect the optical out of the tv to the home theater to get the surround sound. Hope this will help you out.
